Hey Lauren, how are you? I saw you are doing Zumba and I wanted to ask whether you have a Zumba DVD or you go to a class? I love Zumba but I can't do it in class as I am so uncoordinated (I go to the right when everyone goes to the left) and it is kinda embarrassing. Maybe you have a Zumba DVD to recommend?
Hey! I’m great! Thanks for asking! I have the DVD’s but I also attend the classes when they’re on. I love the DVD’s because, as you said, you can dance freely and no-one is the wiser! =D
I bought the Zumba pack from Guthy Renker, so it contains the 20 minute express workout, flat abs, cardio party and tone and sculpt! It’s a bit pricy, but it’s fabulous for rainy days and days were dancing with a large group of people is off putting.
If you didn’t want to purchase the actual DVD’s though, this is a 50 min youtube video with a workout for free! Don’t worry. It’s in English.. Well.. the majority of it is!
I did the Zumba flat abs workout this morning and boy, do my obliques hurt! Nothing much for my upper and lower abs, but my love handles are sure feeling it now! If I could strive to do that workout every second day, I’ll be happy as a clam.
P.S. Weigh In tomorrow. Feeling nervous, but excited at the same time. Hopefully the scales will represent how good I’ve been this week. Fingers crossed!
Day Six: Do you binge? If so, explain why you think you do.
No. I don’t. If I’m being honest, I have a couple of times after eating something I knew I shouldn’t, and I didn’t feel great about doing it. I felt empty afterwards and that wasn’t as satisfying as I thought it was going to be.
I decided that as long as I’m good 90% of the time, I can allow myself small pleasures. Life is too short to withhold everything for a long period of time. I’m not doing this for six months only; it’s a lifestyle change and I have to eat now how I want to eat for the next 80 years of my life.
